How we repair a Sharp ice machine that freezes solid on the evaporator
Our Weltevredenpark call-out for freezing up begins with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Weltevredenpark is a big, established suburb where a lot of the installed base is fifteen years old or more. Old does not mean dead — plenty of these units run beautifully after a service and a capacitor — but it does mean we are honest when spare parts for a discontinued model no longer exist.
