ITV ice machine freezing up — repairs in Kensington B
When a ITV ice machine freezes solid on the evaporator in Kensington B, the repair starts with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Spanish gourmet cube machines used in cocktail bars. How we repair a ITV ice machine that freezes solid on the evaporator
Our Kensington B call-out for freezing up begins with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Kensington B has filled up with townhouse developments and converted homes, and in a complex the outdoor units usually end up crammed together on a side wall. When they cannot breathe, they trip. Most of our Kensington B work is airflow, electrical and drainage rather than dramatic mechanical failure.
