How we repair a ITV ice machine that freezes solid on the evaporator
Our Ferndale call-out for freezing up begins with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Ferndale mixes older face-brick homes with office parks along Oak Avenue and Hendrik Verwoerd Drive, and both put very different demands on an air conditioner. We repair midwall splits in flats around Republic Road as readily as ducted systems in the business park units, usually the same day you call.
