Smeg ice machine error code — repairs in Craighall
When a Smeg ice machine flashes a fault code and stops in Craighall, the repair starts with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Design fridge-freezers with integrated ice and water dispensers. Every Craighall visit includes clearing vegetation and debris from around the outdoor unit.
How we repair a Smeg ice machine that flashes a fault code and stops
Our Craighall call-out for error code begins with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Craighall and Craighall Park have plenty of older homes with mature gardens, and those gardens are quietly hard on outdoor units. Leaves, pollen and creeping plants smother condenser coils until the system loses efficiency and eventually trips.
