How we repair a Simag ice machine that drops small, hollow or cloudy cubes
Our Sunninghill call-out for small or cloudy cubes begins with water quality, scale removal and cycle timing correction. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Sunninghill's cluster complexes and office parks sit close together, and many of its units were installed in the same building boom — which means they now age and fail in the same way and at roughly the same time. Preventative servicing pays for itself here.
