Simag ice machine noisy operation — repairs in Sandown
When a Simag ice machine grinds, knocks or rattles in Sandown, the repair starts with pump, fan bearing and auger gearbox repair. Compact machines common in guesthouses and delis. Sandown commercial callers get a confirmed arrival window on the phone, not a vague day slot.
How we repair a Simag ice machine that grinds, knocks or rattles
Our Sandown call-out for noisy operation begins with pump, fan bearing and auger gearbox repair. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Sandown surrounds the Sandton CBD, so the work here is commercial-heavy: offices, apartment towers and mixed-use blocks where a cooling failure affects a lot of people at once. We respond fast and work around tenant hours.
