Simag ice machine freezing up — repairs in Gallo Manor
When a Simag ice machine freezes solid on the evaporator in Gallo Manor, the repair starts with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Compact machines common in guesthouses and delis. Gallo Manor sits on our Wendywood and Sunninghill route with reliable sub-hour emergency response.
How we repair a Simag ice machine that freezes solid on the evaporator
Our Gallo Manor call-out for freezing up begins with harvest cycle, sensor and charge diagnosis. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Gallo Manor is family-home territory, and family homes mean bedrooms that must be cool at night and a budget that does not stretch to replacing three units at once. We prioritise: fix what has failed, tell you what is next, and give you a realistic timeline rather than a shopping list.
