When a Simag ice machine flashes a fault code and stops in Ferndale, the repair starts with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Compact machines common in guesthouses and delis. Our vans work the Ferndale, Blairgowrie and Windsor block daily, so an emergency call from Ferndale is normally on site inside the hour.
How we repair a Simag ice machine that flashes a fault code and stops
Our Ferndale call-out for error code begins with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Ferndale mixes older face-brick homes with office parks along Oak Avenue and Hendrik Verwoerd Drive, and both put very different demands on an air conditioner. We repair midwall splits in flats around Republic Road as readily as ducted systems in the business park units, usually the same day you call.
