Sharp ice machine small or cloudy cubes — repairs in Ferndale Extension

How we repair a Sharp ice machine that drops small, hollow or cloudy cubes

Our Ferndale Extension call-out for small or cloudy cubes begins with water quality, scale removal and cycle timing correction. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.

• Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
• Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
• Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
• Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
• Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs

Ferndale Extension is dense with apartment blocks and converted office space, and in a block the aircon problems are as much about access as about the machine. We are set up for balcony-mounted condensers, shared risers and body corporate approvals, and we work quietly when repairs run into the evening.
