How we repair a Sharp ice machine that runs but produces no ice
Our Strathavon call-out for not making ice begins with water inlet, thermostat and refrigerant charge testing. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Strathavon is a short drive from the Sandton CBD and heavily developed with apartments and small business premises. Systems here run long hours, and the difference between a healthy unit and a failing one is usually whether anyone has cleaned the coils in the last two years.
