How we repair a Sharp ice machine that grinds, knocks or rattles
Our Kelvin call-out for noisy operation begins with pump, fan bearing and auger gearbox repair. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Kelvin is a compact, older Sandton suburb where many homes have added air conditioning one room at a time over the years. The result is a mix of brands and ages under one roof, and a technician who only knows one manufacturer is not much use here.
