How we repair a Samsung ice machine that drops small, hollow or cloudy cubes
Our Melrose call-out for small or cloudy cubes begins with water quality, scale removal and cycle timing correction. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Melrose runs from quiet residential streets to the offices and apartments around Melrose Arch, and the apartment work here is almost entirely about access and drainage. High-rise condensers, shared plant and strict building rules mean the technician needs to be as good at paperwork as at pipework.
