How we repair a Maxima ice machine that drops small, hollow or cloudy cubes
Our Benmore Gardens call-out for small or cloudy cubes begins with water quality, scale removal and cycle timing correction. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Benmore Gardens is close enough to the Sandton core that a lot of properties here are offices in converted homes or serviced apartments. Both run their systems far harder than a normal household, and both need repairs that happen quietly and quickly, ideally outside working hours.
