How we repair a Haier ice machine that flashes a fault code and stops
Our Sandhurst call-out for error code begins with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Sandhurst properties tend to be large, with ducted or multi-zone systems installed as part of the original build. That is good engineering, but it means faults are systemic rather than simple, and diagnosis matters far more than parts. We measure before we recommend anything expensive.
