How we repair a Defy ice machine that flashes a fault code and stops
Our Linden call-out for error code begins with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Linden's character homes and busy 4th Avenue restaurant strip both come with older electrical infrastructure. Aircon faults here are frequently electrical rather than mechanical, and diagnosing that properly saves owners the cost of a replacement they do not need.
