How we repair a Defy ice machine that flashes a fault code and stops
Our Hyde Park call-out for error code begins with code readout, board and probe diagnostics. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Hyde Park properties often run substantial climate systems — multiple zones, ducted air and heat pumps for pool and domestic hot water. Faults tend to be in controls and zoning rather than the basic refrigeration, and diagnosing that takes patience rather than parts.
