How we repair a Cornelius ice machine that drops small, hollow or cloudy cubes
Our Emmarentia call-out for small or cloudy cubes begins with water quality, scale removal and cycle timing correction. Ice machines fail fastest on Highveld borehole and hard municipal water, so we check water quality, filtration and scale on every visit. Quotes are given in writing before we touch a component, and all work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Water inlet valve, pump and float diagnostics
- Descaling and full sanitising of the water circuit
- Harvest cycle, thermostat and probe calibration
- Sealed system: leak trace, vacuum and accurate recharge
- Auger, gearbox and dispenser motor repairs
Emmarentia's older homes and mature trees make for beautiful streets and awkward air conditioning. Shaded outdoor units collect leaf litter, heritage-style homes limit where equipment can be mounted, and a lot of our work here is about neat, discreet installation and repair rather than brute force.
